Rev. Ted Fine was born in Little Rock, AR on December 5, 1960. He is married to his best friend and partner in life, Valerie, has 4 grown children, and is blessed with a wonderful grandson. He loves animals, his Harley, and technology. He began his undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Southeastern Louisiana University in the 1980’s, but left school early to work with his ailing father in the family business. In 2008, after a successful entrepreneurial life in the business world, Rev. Fine felt the call to complete his undergraduate degree at Southeastern and go on to seminary in pursuit of a theological education. As a student Rev. Fine served a three-point charge in the Acadiana district, completed his undergraduate degree at Southeastern, and earned his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He loves being involved in the community and participates in local ecumenical groups, connectional activities in partnership with local schools, and multidenominational outreach whenever possible. His hobbies include extensive theological studies, technology related activities, reading, and spending time with his grandson whenever he gets the opportunity. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, bike riding, and especially long rides with friends on the real bike.
Rev. Fine has 10 plus years of pastoral ministry is an ordained elder in full connection with the UMC. His calling includes a desire to live a Christ-centered life with integrity and enthusiasm, sharing the Gospel through the lens of his life experiences, leading the church to reach the lost and unreached people of the world, and discipling others into fruitful ministry for the transformation of the world. It is very important to Rev. Fine for people know his passion for a shared ministry as the Body of Christ, and his deep conviction that true success in the Church’s mission depends heavily on the participation of all true disciples of Jesus Christ.
